Uniform

The Tahuna uniform is attractive and comfortable. Uniforms are a new concept to most students, but certainly make life much easier for parents.
We believe that pride in appearance helps chidlren to set personal standards and to build confidence and self-esteem.

Wolfenden and Russell is the local stockist of the Tahuna Normal Intermediate School uniform. Their shop is in Great King Street, South Dunedin.

Tahuna Polar fleece top
Tahuna Polo T-shirt s/s ( a long sleeve one is available for colder days - optional )
Green skirt for girls - Blue shorts for boys
White ankle or calf socks for girls - Blue Tahuna socks for boys

Black leather lace up shoes
New Tahuna special T-shirt for sport & PE, Bottle green sports shorts ( available from the school office )
Sports shoes are necessary for sport & physical education

Sun hats are expected to be worn in summer and on sunny occasions. Two styles are available from the school office.
Girls can wear blue tights on colder days in the winter terms. (Not calf high blue socks.)

No make-up or jewellery except for one small plain silver or gold stud earing is to be worn.
Hair must be a natural colour, in a style which complements the uniform, ( not making a statement.)
