School Rules
These rules are necessary for Tahuna to continue to provide quality education for everyone in a safe and warm learning environment.
- Children should at all times use their common sense, consider and respect others and property.
- Fighting, bullying, unacceptable body-contacting and verbal put-downs are forbidden.
- Children should not be at school until 8.25am, before this time supervision is not available.
- Children must have teacher permission to leave the school during scheduled times.
- Corridors, cloak bays, toilets and stairs are NOT meeting or eating places.
- Children must not enter another classroom without teacher permission.
- All movement around the school is to be carried out in a quiet and orderly manner.
- The full school uniform should be named and worn proudly at all times. Tahuna sports uniform for physical activities.
- Sports equipment should be used outside, away from buildings and boundary fences. If property is damaged because of rule-breaking, then a contribution towards replacement costs is to be made.
- No cell phones, large sums of money or other valuables should be brought to school. ( If absolutely necessary for a specific day, please have held in the office during the school day. )
- No chewing gum or lollies at school.
- No make-up or jewellery to be worn. (Only one small, plain silver or gold stud per ear allowed.)
- No aerosol sprays are allowed at school.
- Bicycles are not to be ridden in the school grounds. Bike sheds are out of bounds during the school day.
- School A/V equipment, computers, and the emergency telephone can only be used with teacher permission.
