Pinetree Enjoys Time with Tahuna Students
Pinetree Meads was in Dunedin to mark the Centenary of the Otago Rugby Union. Tahuna studewnts travelled into the Octagon for games of rippa rugby, accompanied by the Tahuna Kapa Haka group. Tahuna's welcoming items by this group were brilliant, with lots of praise coming back to school about their efforts.
Josh Cronfeld and Marc Ellis played with our students on the pint sized field, then it was Colin Meads who had the honours of not only passing out the oranges, but being the Unions guest speaker. It was great to hear Pinetree praise Tahuna's efforts in welcoming everyone to the event, but also on the field.
A huge cake was later delivered to Tahuna, big enough for a piece for every student and more. What a great end to the school day. Well done Otago rugby!
