Otago Cross Country Championships

There was a frost in the shade, but the overhead conditions were ideal for our annual Tahuna Cross Country races. It was pleasing to see the high number of competitors in the Championship races, where students ran hard to earn points for their houses. Classes were spread around the course and encouraged others well throughout the races.

The Tahuna teams then went on to compete in the Otago Cross Country Championships. These are highly competitive races and it was pleasing to see all runners giving it their all.

Congratulations to all runners who gave it their best.

On Tuesday October 14th the Tahuna Athletics day will be held. We're hoping for good weather. On this day students try out all the events, enjoy their house competition, while also trying hard to qualify for the coming South Zone Athletics Sports day.
