Enrolments

This years Open Night was be held on Thursday 6th August, 7 - 8.30 pm. It was a great turn out and lots of parents and pupils enjoyed seeing the school in action. If anyone requires further information please feel free to contact the Deputy Principal Keith Hutton. He will be more than happy to answer any questions or take you on a personal tour of the school.

Contributing Schools have also enjoyed the opportunity to visit the school and have a guided tour. Enrolment packs are available from the school office, or find enrolment form below.

Tahuna Normal Intermediate School has an enrolment scheme, a scheme that requires it to have a geographical zone. Details of this zone are available from the school office.
The enrolment scheme is there to stop overcrowding.

All students who live within the home zone will be accepted, while those from out or zone have to go through the ballot process. It is hoped that all students to are interested in attending Tahuna will be able to be accepted.

Each year the date by which out of zone enrolments have to be received will be published in the local newspaper. The full details of the scheme, the dates, and the process are available from the school office.

The Zone details:

Portobello Rd from the intersection with Andersons Bay Rd to Raynbird Street, including Breton, Newbury, Lauder, Luss, Hinkley and Glenfinlass.
Bay View Rd from the intersection with Andersons Bay Rd to Prince Albert Rd.  Prince Albert Rd to Douglas St.  Douglas St to Moreau St then south on Moreau St to the coast.  Follow the coast north to Sandymount Rd.  Sandymount Rd to Highcliff Rd then south on Highcliff Rd to Camp Rd.  Camp Rd to the Camp Rd track including Larnach Castle, Castlewood Rd.

Proof of residence within the home zone may be requested.
